Saucehound is going to “The Jack”!


The drawing of teams for the 23rd Annual Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue recently took place and Saucehound was invited to compete.  The prestigious event affectionately known as “The Jack,” annually receives more than 25,000 visitors from across the globe.

 

There is nothing quite like the fourth Saturday of October in Lynchburg, Tennessee.  That’s when thousands of people head to the Hollow for the annual Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue, an event that began in 1989 and is today considered one of the most prestigious barbecue competitions in the world.  Teams from across the United States and around the world compete in the categories of Pork Ribs, Pork Shoulder, Beef Brisket and Chicken, as well as Sauces and Desserts – for the coveted title of Grand Champion.
